A
Professional's Guide to Our Products
The use of
products by MY WAXING SYSTEM by Dominique Hermes?
1. BEFORE WAXING (PRE-TREATMENT)
Step 1:
Examine the skin.
Use our Consultation
Card and use waxes accordingly.
When the hair is too long, trim or cut the hair before waxing. The ideal
length is ¼th of an inch.
Step 2:
Use our Antiseptic Brazilian Wash prior to waxing treatment. (Also in
retail!)
Excellent for bikini hygiene and treats ingrown hairs
Esthetician must wash her hands before every waxing service. If possible,
wash hands in the same room as the client.
Step 3:
Use our Pre-Epil
Spray or Pre-Epil
Gel to prepare and disinfect the skin.
Pre-Epil
Spray (Contains Denatured Alcohol and Tea Tree Oil)
Spray on to treat areas.
LET PRODUCT DRY before using our Pre-Wax
Powder.
Or
Use our Pre-Epil Gel - Softer formula than Pre-Epil Spray. (Contains Denatured
Alcohol and Tea Tree Oil)
LET PRODUCT DRY before using our Pre-Wax Powder.
Both are strong antiseptics, provide anti fungus care, and help to repair
skin.
Pre-Epil Gel is ideal to prepare the skin for facial waxing. Massage into
skin gently.
LET PRODUCT DRY before using powder or wax
Step 4:
Use our Pre-Wax Powder to remove moisture off the skin. (not used for
facial hard wax hair removal)
(Contains purified powder; Italian talcum powder, in a very small grain).
Use a little powder, spread out over the whole skin area that you want
wax.
TIP: If doing
a facial wax with Hard
Wax (for sensitive skin), don't use Pre-Wax
Powder prior facial waxing. Facial waxing can be started when Pre-Epil
product is dry.
2. WAXING
TREATMENT
Step 5:
For
large area such as legs, arms, and back we recommend using strip wax,
as this is a fast and reliable way to remove the hair. In this case, you
should use our A+ Wax (Blue
for women / Black
for men). Heat the wax in our 500cc
or 1000cc Heater at 155°F - 160°F (normally around the Medium
setting). Put wax on in the direction of the hair growth with a Wooden
or Metal Spatula, cover the wax with a Paper
or Muslin
Waxing Strip and pull the Strip against the direction of the hair growth.
Brazilian
Hard Wax in Blue
or Black
Hard Wax in Red
for Facial Hair Removal
Brazilian Hard Wax (Blue or Black) is a high quality wax made of Hydrogenated
Pine Rosin (Contains vegetable and mineral oils). No risk of rosin allergic
reaction for client.
THIS WAX
IS A MUST IN EVERY SALON. MY WAXING SYSTEM uses only Brazilian Hard Wax
for Bikini, Brazilian and Underarm waxing - it works perfectly!
For facial waxing, the skin condition will determine to choose Strip wax
or Red Hard wax (for sensitive skin). Our hard wax is safer to use in
case of sensitivity of the skin.
Our Hard Wax can be used 2 times (even more) on the same areas. Just press
wax back onto hair growth to pick up fine hairs that may have been missed
on the first pull.
Put wax on in the direction of the hair growth, pull the wax off against
the direction of hair growth.
When the
hairs are very long:
- Trim hairs carefully a little with scissors, then begin wax Pre-Treatment.
OR
- Trim slightly with a trimmer.
A+ Strip
Wax for Hair Removal
A+ Wax (strip wax, also known as Soft Wax. Blue for women and Black for
men)
- Push the hairs gently flat to the skin while putting on the wax.
For Facial waxing such as: Eyebrows, Upper Lip, Chin, Hair Line, and Cheeks
we recommend our NEW FACIAL HARD WAX (Red brick wax). Hard Red FACIAL
wax is perfect for facial waxing, safe and easy! This is a high quality
wax. (Contains Hydrogenated Pine Rosin, vegetable and mineral oils). There
is no risk of rosin allergic reaction for clients. Use this hard wax without
the need for waxing strips and can be applied in a thin layer.
Always make
sure to keep your spatula
moving while applying the wax to the skin!
Tip: Our
Disposable
Wooden Spatulas are great for smaller areas for applying wax under
arms.
In Between
Waxing Treatments
Step 6:
Always use our Hamamelis
Lotion (Spray) between waxing treatments. It's a natural disinfectant
that will also refresh the skin. (Contains Hamamelis extract). This product
is not oily and does not prevent further waxing. Let dry before applying
additional wax.
3. AFTER
WAXING (AFTER-TREATMENT)
Step 7:
Use our Blue
Oil to relax the skin and to remove any wax residue left on the skin.
(Contains Mineral Oil & Alpha Bisbolol). Blue Oil repairs the skin.
Also contains Azulleen & Camomile to help relax the skin. Softens
dry & sensitive skin types.
Step 8:
Cool
Crème (Also in smaller Retail size!). Apply Cool Crème
in a light massaging motion to help cool and calm the skin. (Contains
